What I’ve learned from working with a number of coaches over a few years is that just because someone has trained and certified as a coach doesn’t mean they’re an effective coach. Connecting with Rob Card as a coach is what I would call a lucky break. He has life experience, without which coaching feels shallow. He listens beyond the words, and from that space is able to ask “wake up” questions that shift me when I’m stuck. He encourages me to take the risks I want to take but can be inclined to talk myself out of. I just looked under the “news” section on his website. Read it. His wake-you-up blog will give you insight into Rob and his coaching.

Rob Card is a wonderful coach. He is thoughtful, open minded and creative, while being silly enough to make everything seem lighter. Having Rob help me sort out my life gives me a real sense of hope that I have a strong, solid ally in my corner. I recommend him to anyone needing help getting their life sorted out.
I was rather apprehensive, going into my coaching sessions with Rob. I had known him for a bit, but going into coaching was daunting.
Rob was a great guide. His insights and questions probed into my motivations, but were not harsh or intrusive.
I appreciated his patience and support during my career transition.
