Decisions Decisions

So, I’ve been out of touch for a while, working on building my business in other ways.

I’ve been talking to some marketing guys about things I can do and it turns out that I may need to “rebrand” myself.

I suppose this is one of those times when you need to ask yourself: What do you want?

And it turns out the answer is I want greater success in my life through my business, and if that means rebranding than so be it.

I talk in my stress seminars about the two ways to deal with “stressful” situations, and one of them is to accept it.  Well I think I’m pretty close to accepting this.

Why?

Well as much as I love my “happiness” based website and as much as I have built up lasting happiness in my life, it turns out that what I’m presenting is not necessarily what people are looking for at this moment.

I can still do this, and I still will, but the main focus of the business, if I want to take it to the next level, is to really focus on what I can do for others and what it is that those people want.

Chances are they want to be happy and that’s what I would ultimately be helping achieve, but most people don’t think of it in that sort of clear cut terms.  If I really want to help people be happy I need to start thinking of how they think of happiness and understanding what works for them.

As much as it seems simple to me, it may not for others and my simple message of “be happy first” may not ‘click’ with them in the way that another message might.

I suppose it just proves one of the things I’ve said all along:  people are different and do things in different ways and what works for me probably doesn’t’ work for someone else.

So, we’ll see what comes of this process and what my business looks like afterward. I promise I’ll still be here, blogging and passing along useful little tid-bits.

I am open for change, and willing to do whatever it takes to meet my goal of making the world a happier place.  And I have a smile on my face and a laugh in my heart, why?  Well, why not?

So until the next time, keep laughing and being open to change.
