Laugh Life Day 21

For a couple of days now I’ve been practicing “laughing for no reason”, using the “ha ha hee hee hee” mantra from the article I linked to yesterday.

I find it to be an interesting exercise.

On the one hand, I could see how some people would say it doesn’t work, and other other, I do feel that it could be a great way to lighten up your life and have all of the usually positive effects (reduce stress, be healthier, etc).

I think either way it is a self-fulfilling prophecy.  Either you don’t believe in it so you don’t really throw yourself into the practice and don’t allow it to work, or your do believe in it and and want it to work so you find ways to make it work.

People, in general, are really good at self-fulfilling prophecies.

I suppose my question to all of you non-believers out there is: why do you want to be miserable?

Me, I want to be happy.  I want to laugh hard and often.  I want it to be a positive healthy force in my life, reducing my stress levels and upping my endorphins.

So I will continue to do this, and I encourage you to try it too, if you haven’t already:

Everyone repeat after me:  HA HA HEE HEE HEE – HA HA HEE HEE HEE – HA HA HEE HEE HEE
