Laugh Life Day 30

Here I am, one third of the way through my scheduled plan of finding laughter in the everyday and writing about it and I am noticing two distinct patterns.

One – As far as the getting up and writing first thing, no issues there, I’ve been able to make that a consistent behaviour.

Two – As far as laughing at life and finding what’s funny in the everyday in the hopes that my level of happiness will go up and I’ll have better health, less stress and better well being, this I seem to be slipping on.

As much as I can find something to write about every morning, I do not feel as if my level of stress and my well being have significantly improved.

Now I must consider the fact that today just may not be a good day to judge that since I have been particularly “down” in the last few days.  It should be noted that I have been lax on practicing the “laughing for no reason” mantra in this time as well.

So lets posit a new hypothesis.  I shall keep writing every morning about funny stuff, but I will add to this 5 minutes of “laughter” meditation in the mornings as well.  That is 5 minutes of doing the “Ha Ha Hee Hee Hee” mantra.

Lets see if this very specific behaviour change, changes how I am feeling consistently.

And since this has been a particularly serious post so far let me end by saying:

  • Nothing can confound a wise man more than laughter from a dunce. —-Lord Byron
  • If you can’t see the bright side of life, polish the dull side.
  • It’s a funny thing about life; if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it. —-W. Sommerset Morgan

And finally:

  • If you wish to live wisely, ignore all sayings … including this one.
