I was the host at the performance of our local improve troupe last night (Theatre On The Edge or TOTE). Lots of funny and absurd stuff to laugh at.
Its good to have places you can go where you know you are going to get a laugh or two if you need them. What I found interesting was that I think I was willing to laugh at more stuff that usual because I’ve been doing more and more laughing for no reason.
When you don’t need something funny to laugh, all of a sudden even the slightest funny thing is so much more funny and you can find reason to laugh all over the place.
It really is a practice that builds on itself more and more.
I really do need to start up an official club in town so I can share all of this. I’ll have to look more into this. I’ll keep you posted.
